Changefreq and Lastmod
Thread Status:

How do I change the changefreq on a specific page? They all come out as monthly right now, and some are updated daily.

Second, the lastmod date is the last time a module was added or changed on the page. We have content modules that the internal data changes nearly hourly (news items) but the page will not change for months or years. How can I set the last updated to be more accurate?

Re: Changefreq and Lastmod

The changefreq can only be set for all pages for DNN sites.  I am considering ways to allow this to be adjusted easily but have not developed a simple way of doing so.

You can however change the frequency from monthly to any of the other values allowed by Google by changing it in the web.config file.

The lastmod date for each page will have one of two values.  Either 7 days ago (by default), or if modules on the page support the DNN search engine interface, then the most recent last modified date recorded for any module on the page by the search engine processor.
